About ODPC

The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) is Kenya’s independent authority mandated to oversee and enforce the Data Protection Act, 2019, ensuring that the rights of individuals are upheld in an increasingly digital society. As the custodian of data privacy in Kenya, the ODPC provides the regulatory foundation that allows organisations to innovate while maintaining the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and lawful data use.
