NAIROBI, Kenya, July 15 –Two regulators, one shared problem: how do you build
public trust in data protection across borders? A delegation from Rwanda’s Data
Protection Authority sat down with ODPC in a benchmarking visit aimed at exchanging
knowledge and sharing best practices of data protection and privacy between the two
institutions.

The engagement covered the structure and mandate of the Office, inspections,
compliance, and enforcement, as well as strategic regional and international
collaborations that strengthen data protection oversight and regulatory effectiveness.
Both Offices are looking forward to a continued collaboration in addressing emerging
data protection challenges across the region.
